Community Outreach at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital

Henrico Doctors' Hospital does more than simply help treat those who seek out medical services at our two campuses; we like to keep an eye on the area's vital signs and improve the overall health of our community through a number of outreach programs and activities. That's why we're proud to be a member of the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association, an association of hospitals and health care systems throughout the Commonwealth whose mission is to improve the health status of the communities served.

To that end, Henrico Doctors' offers a number of free health seminars conducted by our affiliated physicians. This series, called Visit With the Good Doctors, addresses a number of important health- and treatment-reissues because we believe education is an important part of the patient–physician relationship. We've established a number of support groups for caregivers and those dealing with various illnesses, and we host meetings of the Richmond Ostomy Association. We also host the Richmond chapter of First Things First's Boot Camp for New Dads, and we offer The Family Plan, a series of informative classes for expectant parents.

We are also proud to offer our ongoing support to the greater Richmond Meals on Wheels program, and we hold blood drives to benefit Virginia Blood Services.
