In order to better serve the needs of all of our patients, Henrico Doctors’ Hospital has begun the construction of an exciting expansion project to build a new destination Cancer Center on campus. The new center will provide the latest technology and comprehensive approach for caring for the whole patient, allowing us to continue to offer support programs including patient navigation, genetic counseling, nutrition counseling and support groups all under one roof.
Our new home will consist of a 98,400-square-foot, four-story building directly on campus. “The centralized and modernized Cancer Center is critical to the delivery of exceptional care for our patients. By combining medical and supportive services into one space, our patients will experience the benefits of receiving care in a unified, healing environment. The positive effects of such care for so many is surely worth of this change,” said Meg Helsley, MSN, RN, AOCNS, Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital.
The new destination Cancer Center will provide the latest technology, alongside our highly skilled staff of physicians and nurses to provide high-level clinical treatment to patients in our local community.
